A major fire broke out at Asian Hospital in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar around 2.30 am on Friday

Fire erupted at Asian Hospital in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar early Friday morning

The incident caused panic among relatives, with several of them rushing to the hospital after learning about the fire. Police personnel also reached the spot and cordoned off the area. The exact cause of the fire was not immediately known, though a short circuit is suspected to have triggered the blaze.

CHHATRAPATI SAMBHAJINAGAR: A major fire broke out at Asian Hospital in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar around 2.30 am on Friday, triggering panic among patients, relatives and hospital staff. Around 58 patients were admitted to the hospital when the blaze broke out, including nine newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), according to Fire Brigade officials. All patients were safely evacuated in a swift operation. Thick smoke engulfed parts of the building, prompting hospital staff to raise the alarm and alert the Fire Brigade. Three fire tenders were rushed to the spot, and firefighters began efforts to bring the blaze under control.
