An international air ambulance en route from Istanbul to Indonesia made a brief stop at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport in Nagpur for refueling on Sunday night. The aircraft was carrying a patient, highlighting the role of air ambulances in providing critical medical transport across long distances.
The aircraft, operated by Redstar Aviation, landed at Nagpur airport at 8:53pm. The Bombardier Challenger 605, operating the sector from Istanbul’s Sabiha Gökçen Airport to Indonesia, was identified by flight number RHH62. The aircraft departed Nagpur around 9:56pm, and subsequently continued towards Bali, in Indonesia, where it reached around 4:30am.

Six people were on board, including the patient, medical personnel, and flight crew, sources said. The air ambulance was on an international medical transfer, with the patient being transported from Istanbul to Indonesia. The aircraft remained at Nagpur airport for about an hour while it was refuelled, and other necessary ground procedures were completed. Airport authorities facilitated the technical stop to ensure that the medical flight could resume its journey without delay. Such technical stops by international medical flights are routinely facilitated at Nagpur airport, which serves as an important operational point for long-distance flights requiring refuelling, and other ground support.
