The directions come as Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) is undertaking cement concrete road works in the Ambad and Satpur industrial belts ahead of the 2027 Simhastha Kumbh Mela. Roads and streetlights in parts of the industrial areas at Ambad, Chunchale and Pathardi, spread over around 515.5 hectares, have been transferred to NMC in phases for maintenance. District planning committee funds should be tapped for the works, he said. Nashik: State industries minister Uday Samant has directed officials to prepare a detailed project report to upgrade roads in the Ambad and Satpur MIDC areas within Nashik Municipal Corporation limits and submit it for approval at the earliest. At a review meeting in Mumbai, Samant also directed the civic body to develop and maintain internal MIDC roads already transferred to it. Samant asked officials to assess the condition of MIDC roads, identify required improvements and estimate the expenditure while preparing the detailed project report (DPR). He also sought coordination among agencies to ensure timely completion of projects. The minister reviewed infrastructure issues across Nashik’s industrial areas, including roads, water supply, fire services, an IT park, a common effluent treatment plant and a truck terminal. He also reviewed progress on the MIDC water supply scheme. The civic body is also carrying out infrastructure works there ahead of the Kumbh Mela. Samant stressed long-term infrastructure planning to meet the future needs of Nashik’s industrial sector. The meeting also discussed a survey for a fire station at Akrale industrial estate in Dindori, the development of an IT park, a common effluent treatment facility and a truck terminal. Samant directed departments to coordinate and complete the required industrial infrastructure within stipulated timelines. MLCs Kishor Darade and Gokul Gite, former MLA Narendra Darade and senior MIDC and MSME officials attended the meeting.
