Pune: Chartered accountants (CAs) are encouraged to adopt emerging technologies while maintaining their professional integrity and ethical standards. CA Atul Pai, managing director of Honeywell Automation India, emphasized that this approach is vital for CAs to make significant contributions to society and support national development.

ICAI central council members and chief convocation coordinator CA Umesh Sharma and CA Chandrashekhar Chitale, regional council members CA Rekha Dhamankar and CA Abhishek Dhamane, Pune branch chairman CA Pranav Apte, vice-chairman CA Nilesh Yevalekar, secretary CA Neha Phadke, treasurer CA Nandkumar Kadam, Vikas chairperson CA Sarika Dindorkar and former chairman CA Sachin Miniyar were among those present. The main ICAI convocation ceremony was attended by Union minister Arjun Ram Meghwal as the chief guest. Addressing the newly qualified CAs, Pai spoke about their professional responsibilities and the changing technology landscape. “Your profession allows you to contribute to the interests of society and the nation. “CAs have a responsibility to contribute to the country’s economic development through knowledge and technology. He urged newly qualified CAs to participate in these initiatives and contribute to the country’s economic progress. “There is no need to fear technological changes. CAs should adopt technology and use it to develop their knowledge and skills. “In a changing and competitive era, the accounts profession is not limited to numbers. Dhamankar advised the newly qualified CAs to face challenges while upholding ethics and to pursue their hobbies alongside professional growth.
