Pune: A city-based citizens’ forum, Loudspeaker Virodhi Punekar Manch, has scheduled a protest at 5pm near the Jhansi Rani statue on Balgandharva Rangmandir Chowk on Sunday to demand action against alleged noise norms violations during Ganeshotsav. Citizen activist Mukund Kirdat said the forum submitted memorandums to the police, Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) on Saturday, seeking details of the action taken against noise pollution violations.
