Pune Authorities Enhance Cleanliness and Traffic Management During Festive Days
In response to the upcoming festive days and the return of rain spells, Pune authorities are implementing enhanced cleanliness measures. Cleanliness staff will operate in two shifts, and additional vehicles will be deployed to transport collected waste. Temporary vendors and foot stalls are required to provide dustbins to help maintain cleanliness.
District guardian minister Sunetra Pawar has directed the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), and district officials to closely monitor traffic conditions. They are also instructed to arrange alternate routes and to prioritise the safety of women, children, and senior citizens during this busy period. Officials have urged the public to refrain from littering in open spaces to support these efforts.
