Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar : A war of words has erupted within Shiv Sena over alleged corruption in Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), with Paithan MLA Vilas Bhumre accusing water supply and sanitation minister Gulabrao Patil of protecting a tainted executive engineer. Bhumre alleged that several complaints regarding substandard and incomplete JJM works in Paithan taluka went unaddressed despite an inquiry reportedly finding the official guilty. Despite an inquiry establishing wrongdoing, no action was taken. The MLA warned that he would take up the issue with party chief and deputy chief minister Eknath Shinde , and CM Devendra Fadnavis , if needed. “There was no recent communication with Bhumre, so he may not be aware of the action taken. Bhumre, who has repeatedly raised the issue in the state legislature, has threatened to lead a protest march to Patil’s official residence during the upcoming assembly session.
