Kolhapur : Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis on Monday urged voters to back Mahayuti candidates in the Pune division MLC polls, claiming their victory would create two records: the first woman to represent the Graduates’ constituency and the youngest-ever member of the Legislative Council from the Teachers’ constituency.
Addressing a rally in Kolhapur in support of BJP-backed candidates Smita Jadhav and Kaustubh Gavde, Fadnavis said both candidates hail from Kolhapur and deserved strong first-preference support from local voters. For the first time, a woman will represent the Graduates’ constituency and the youngest-ever MLC will represent the Teachers’ constituency,” Fadnavis said. “If Mahayuti wins both seats, two records will be created.
I assure that immediately after the election, Sharad Lad will get a proper position with authority to work so that he can carry forward his father’s legacy,” the chief minister said.
We need to strongly support as Mahayuti,” he said. He told us to select the candidate and assured us he would help ensure the candidate’s victory. “To win the election, we need to remain united. “At our insistence, Sharad Lad joined BJP.
