Nagpur: Four juveniles accused in serious offences, including murder and rape, escaped from the government children’s observation home at Patankar Chowk in Kapil Nagar early Sunday after allegedly breaking a bathroom window pane.
The inmates, aged 16 and 17, were last seen between 1am and 1.30am. Kapil Nagar police registered an offence under Section 137(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and are checking CCTV footage from the home and nearby streets. Police registered a kidnapping case, suspecting that an unknown person may have lured them away. One juvenile, transferred from Pune, was later traced, while three remain untraceable.
