Weather Conditions on Ganeshotsav in Pune
On the first day of Ganeshotsav, Pune recorded light rain and drizzle, with a maximum temperature of 29.2°C and a minimum of 21.8°C. This weather pattern may influence festivities and public gatherings as the event progresses.
Data on first-day Ganeshotsav temperatures over recent years showed 2022 as an outlier, with the maximum reaching 34.6°C. Since then, highs have steadily eased to 30.1°C in 2023, 29.8°C in 2024 and 27.2°C in 2025. Maximum temperatures over Konkan, Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada could rise by 3-5°C over the next five days, according to IMD.
Across Maharashtra , temperatures are also expected to inch up.
Maximum temperatures are expected to hover around 29-30°C till Sept 16 before climbing to around 31°C from Sept 17 and remaining near that mark through the rest of the week. Minimum temperatures, meanwhile, have remained relatively stable on the first day of Ganeshotsav over the past few years, fluctuating between 21.5°C and 23.3°C. Monday’s minimum of 21.8°C was in line with that trend. In Vidarbha, maximum temperatures are likely to increase by 3-5°C during the next 48 hours, followed by little change thereafter. Minimum temperatures across Konkan, Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada are also expected to rise gradually by 1-3°C after Tuesday, IMD added.
