India would become a developed nation only if the government spent six % of its GDP on education,” said Ahir, who had stood in front of a police vehicle during protests in Mumbai. “If your blood doesn’t boil at injustice and atrocities, then you are not an Indian but a traitor. The programme felicitated activists who participated in protests at Jantar Mantar in Delhi and Mumbai following the NEET paper leak and provided a platform for dialogue with Gen-Z. Progressive leader Saroj Patil felicitated Ahir and Shravani Buwa. Patil expressed anguish over the alleged atrocities against students at Jantar Mantar, saying the protesters had given her strength to continue fighting.
Recalling the Mumbai protest, Ahir said she had prepared herself and studied the issue before participating. She said she was delighted that a photograph from the protest had etched her name in history and inspired others. She also said it was the government’s responsibility to ensure children attended schools instead of shutting them down.
“This government is insensitive towards girls, women, and students. If injustice and atrocities are taking place and your blood doesn’t boil, then it is you (Govt), not us who are the anti-nationals.”

AISF national president Viraj Devang alleged that the National Testing Agency had become a “National Trauma Agency”, with 1,100 cases pending against it. He criticised the government for waiving industrialists’ loans while failing to address the burden of heavy debt on students. Headmasters’ Association secretary R Y Patil, Girish Phonde, former AISF state secretary Prashant Ambi, Neelam Jagtap, Harish Kamble, office-bearers, activists and students attended the programme.
