Kolhapur : Petrol pump operators have decided to stop the United Payments Interface ( UPI ) payment option from Oct 15 onwards, if the decision to charge a flat Rs5 fee per UPI transaction, above Rs2000 worth of petrol is not revoked.

If one fills their tank with petrol worth Rs2000 then we will get Rs54 and Rs5 will be cut flat under MDR. “We cannot pass on the costs to our consumers for recovering MDR charges.
