In Kolhapur, Collector Vijay Rathod has mandated that authorities remove encroachments along national, state, and major highways within 15 days. He warned that any departments that fail to comply with this directive will face formal notices and potential disciplinary action. This initiative aims to ensure the free movement of traffic and improve safety on these critical roadways.
Police have identified 52 accident-prone black spots across the district. Rathod ordered that corrective measures at all these locations be completed within 15 days and said he would personally inspect the work along with the Superintendent of Police.
If orders to remove encroachments are not followed, show-cause notices will be issued and action will follow,” Rathod said.
