Mahindra & Mahindra has announced plans to establish a dedicated skilling centre in Nagpur. This initiative aims to prepare the local workforce for its forthcoming 1,500-acre integrated automobile and tractor manufacturing facility. The company is in the process of acquiring approximately 800 acres in the Additional Butibori area as part of this expansion.
Mahindra said it would announce details of workforce requirements, job opportunities and the selection process as the project progresses, as per the communication issued by the company. The company said workforce development would proceed alongside the development of the plant, with a focus on building technical capabilities for manufacturing automobiles and tractors across multiple powertrains and future technologies. The centre will train prospective workers in areas including mechanical operations, welding and painting.
