Earlier this week, a 33-year-old man allegedly broke the lock of his late father’s shop, walked off with marriage documents of his mother, property documents, cash, gold coins and a CCTV system, and then locked the premises himself.

Police said the accused stole the documents to help his mother get property share. The son took the law in hand,” said a police source. The complainant woman told officers that the deceased man, who owned a shop, died of a heart ailment in August. The cops have registered the case on the complaint of the daughter of the woman who inherited the deceased man’s property. He first married the accused’s mother and later married the complainant’s mother.
