Adani Enterprises Limited (AEL) director Pranav Adani performed the bhoomipoojan at the 22-acre Matunga railway site.
An Adani Group press release stated the development at Matunga will feature 10 towers comprising 10,432 rehabilitation apartments alongside 1,379 commercial and industrial units. CM Devendra Fadnavis has announced that 10,000 rehab flats will be ready by January 2029.
“Eligible residents will receive a 350 sq ft carpet flat under the in-situ rehabilitation scheme,” said Adani.
Dharavi Redevelopment Project and Slum Rehabilitation Authority are a part of the SPV with 20% equity While Adani Realty is the main developer.
