Mumbai: Investigation into the Tiger Shroff firing case has revealed that the three shooters allegedly had a practice session in a remote location before carrying out the attack on the actor on Oct 18.
Police sources said Phool Singh and Rehan Ansari from Sonipat, Haryana, along with aggregator cab driver Rithik Kumar alias Roshan (22) from Begusarai, Bihar, who had moved to Mumbai a year ago, stayed in a budget hotel at Chakala in Andheri from Oct 14 to 18 using fake identities.
Inside the room, while they were checking whether the weapons were functioning properly, one of the firearms accidentally went off, with a bullet hitting the bed, said the sources. Hotel staff identified them from photographs provided by the police but said they had not seen the third suspect at the hotel. Police seized CCTV footage that allegedly showed the accused leaving with a blue bag reportedly containing firearms before heading towards Juhu on a motorcycle.
