Mumbai : Two people were arrested by officers of the Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) with 323 gm of heroin worth Rs 64.6 lakh from Versova. The Kandivli unit of the ANC made the arrests late on Friday.
In a separate case, one person was arrested from a chawl in Pydhonie by the ANC with 157 bottles of cough syrup mixed with codeine phosphate, worth Rs 3.6 lakh. Police said they acted on information and laid a trap for the accused. The seized narcotics had been brought for sale in Versova, police said. Police said they had received information about the accused trafficking the narcotic in Pydhonie over the past few days.
