Nashik : A 20-year-old man was arrested on Friday for allegedly stabbing an 18-year-old youth to death over his relationship with the accused’s sister.

“He was stabbed to death by Aditya Londhe (20) of Shirasgaon on Thursday night,” police said. Kamble’s family began searching for him after he failed to answer repeated phone calls, according to police. Police said when they reached the spot, Londhe told them that Kamble had brought him there, taken his phone and assaulted him.

Trimbakeshwar police identified the deceased as Aryan Kamble of Sapgaon. Relatives later learnt that he had left on a motorcycle with Londhe. Five cousins traced the duo to Sapgaon Phata along the Brahmagiri hill circumambulation route. As the relatives attempted to resolve the dispute, Londhe allegedly asked to speak with Kamble alone and took him some distance away.

The accused allegedly told the victim’s relatives that he had done what he intended to do before fleeing,” an officer said. Moments later, the cousins heard Kamble screaming for help. “They rushed to the spot and found him lying in a pool of blood with stab wounds to his chest, neck and abdomen.
