Nashik: As many as 9,731 farmers in the district received the debt relief fund in the second phase of the Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Farmer Debt Relief Scheme, 2026.

District deputy registrar Kundan Bhole urged all remaining beneficiaries to complete their verification process without any delay by visiting the nearest Aaple Sarkar Seva Kendra or e-Seva Kendra. “There were farmers facing discrepancies regarding credentials, loan amounts, and/or bank account details. They have been asked to lodge complaints on state govt portal or contact their local bank branches or the office of the district deputy registrar of cooperative societies in Nashik. The registered complaints are being tracked to ensure timely resolution of the issues,” the officer added. Dedicated efforts were also being undertaken by the administration to clear all pending authentication processes and ensure seamless fund disbursement for every eligible farmer in the district. The second phase disbursements allocated Rs 34.9 crore to 4,856 beneficiaries, who are associated with the Nashik District Central Cooperative (NDCC) Bank. Commercial bank accounts of 4,875 farmers received Rs 45.6 crore, completing the planned tranche of Rs 86.5 crore for 9,731 farmers. Ayush Prasad, district collector, and Kundan Bhole, the district deputy registrar of cooperative societies, confirmed that overall disbursements under the scheme have now reached Rs 260.2 crore, benefitting 30,072 farmers in the district to date. Official records indicated that out of 35,642 farmers identified in the initial list, 31,956 have completed their mandatory biometric identification, leaving 3,886 beneficiaries with pending verification. “In the initial phase, launched on Aug 7, 2026, a tranche of Rs 173.7 crore was transferred to 20,341 beneficiaries across the district. Of this, 12,311 account holders with the NDCC bank received Rs 86.7 crore, while 8,030 farmers with accounts in commercial banks received Rs 87.0 crore,” said a senior officer from the district administration.
“A district-level committee led by the district collector is currently resolving online grievances regarding account numbers and loan amounts by obtaining verification documents directly from the respective banking institutions,” the officer added.
