The city has over 6.2 lakh registered properties
Official records show that Nashik currently has over 6.2 lakh registered properties spread across 31 municipal wards and six administrative divisions. Panchavati and Cidco divisions together account for nearly 48% of the city’s total assessed properties. Nashik : The Nashik Municipal Corporation’s (NMC) special drive to bring unassessed properties under the property tax net has met with a lukewarm response. The officials were instructed to conduct special ward-level campaigns and make the assessment process more citizen-friendly. The property tax department believes that bringing more properties on record is crucial for strengthening the corporation’s finances. Property tax remains one of the major sources of revenue for the civic body and plays an important role in funding essential municipal services and infrastructure projects.
