Pune: A fire broke out on the premises of a public sector bank’s Laxmi Road branch around 10.10am on Monday, causing panic among bank employees and others present in the seven-storey building.

City fire brigade chief Ganesh Sonune told TOI, “Bank officials were when the fire broke out. “Bank furniture, computer hardware, printing machines and other stationery were gutted in the fire,” he said. Four fire tenders and three water tankers reached the spot to douse the blaze. No one was injured in the incident. They alerted the city fire brigade, left the premises and ran downstairs. Staffers of other private offices in the building also came down. The bank is located on the seventh floor of a commercial building. Download the TOI App.
