The app requires Android 9.0 or iOS 16 and later, along with an active internet connection. Pune: The state registration and stamps department has introduced mandatory Aadhaar-based authentication through UIDAI ’s official mobile app for all property registrations starting Wednesday.
Registration officials told TOI that identity verification is now mandatory for every individual involved in the process. “A detailed video is being shared on our social media handle so citizens have no doubts,” said deputy IGR (IT) Abhay Mohite. To avoid delays at sub-registrar offices (SROs), citizens are advised to download the official Aadhaar app and complete registration beforehand.
Mohite said users must complete SIM verification and face authentication on the app, and be able to log in using their six-digit PIN. Another official said individuals who have locked their Aadhaar biometrics will need to unlock them via the app at the time of registration. Phone cameras and necessary app permissions must be enabled.
