29, a lawyer residing in JB Nagar, Andheri, she purchased the chocolate from the store on October 4, according to the complaint filed by Simran Chirag Jain. On October 8, her husband, Chirag, checked the ingredients listed on the wrapper and allegedly found that the chocolate contained non-vegetarian ingredients despite bearing a green vegetarian symbol. Santacruz police registered an FIR under Section 318(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Sections 52 and 26(2)(ii) of the Food Safety and Standards Act , 2006.
