The 60-year-old farmer-politician allegedly ended his life, and police have launched a probe.
Repeated crop losses and drought had left Shinde under severe stress, his family told police. Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Shivajirao Shinde, former Parli Shiv Sena taluka chief, was found dead at his Dadahari Wadgaon home on Friday night.
Police said the incident occurred around 9.30pm on Friday.
