Manoj Jarange
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Maratha quota activist Manoj Jarange on Saturday alleged that a powerful network was plotting to attack his house and kill him after he made public a purported audio clip alleging a Rs 500-crore transaction involving Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde. Referring to claims made by Navnath Ban, he questioned whether the alleged amount was Rs 100 crore or even higher, insisting that the matter could not be brushed aside without a probe. Responding to the allegations, Shrikant Shinde said, “I have not received Rs 500 crore.
He demanded a probe against Shiv Sena politician Ramdas Kadam, whom he accused of circulating the clip before it was released publicly, and said chief minister Devendra Fadnavis and deputy CM Eknath Shinde should verify the authenticity and source of the recording. Targeting Kadam, Jarange alleged the clip had already been circulated before he publicly released it. “The clip was already being circulated before I released it.
He has information about this clip,” Jarange said. Jarange said it was up to Shrikant Shinde to decide whether he wanted to speak on the issue While Eknath Shinde has already responded to the controversy. Lad said the contents of the audio clip would be subjected to forensic examination and urged restraint until the investigation was completed.
Jarange claimed he had put his life at risk by bringing the matter into the public domain and alleged that people linked to the chief minister and deputy chief minister were preparing to target him. “I have risked my life by releasing this clip. There is a conspiracy to attack my house and kill me,” he alleged. Ramdas Kadam should be investigated. Rejecting allegations that the recording was AI-generated, Jarange maintained that the clip was genuine and warranted investigation. The question raised by Jarange is the same question I have. I don’t know where that money has gone. I am myself trying to find that money. Meanwhile, BJP MLC Prasad Lad accused Shiv Sena (UBT) politician Sanjay Raut of attempting to drive a wedge between the BJP and Shiv Sena. He demanded an SIT probe into the alleged conspiracy and sought registration of a case against Raut.
