Fadnavis Critiques Congress and CJP Amid Women’s Reservation Debate
Pune: Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis launched a strong critique of the Congress party and the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) on Monday, claiming that CJP actually stands for “Congress Jitao Programme.” He accused the organization of colluding with the opposition.
During a recent event, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi spoke out against patriarchy and championed women’s empowerment. In response, Fadnavis attributed the delay of the women’s reservation bill in Parliament to Gandhi, asserting, “PM Narendra Modi will make all efforts to ensure the bill is passed. Gandhi, on the other hand, should stop his drama of Jhoot ki Goonj,” which translates to “Echo of Lies.”
Fadnavis also called on young party workers to prepare for countering opposition narratives through social media. He noted, “The opposition has realized they cannot win an ideological battle against BJP. Therefore, they are now raising various issues to fabricate a context against us. However, we will not lose this battle. Our young party workers should be more active on social media to challenge the opposition’s false narrative.”

“The event was actually Jhoot Ki Goonj, as Gandhi made several claims found to be wrong during fact-checks later,” Fadnavis said, adding that Congress was resorting to lies after continuous defeats. The CM said the organisation was helping Congress. Fadnavis also criticised leader of opposition Rahul Gandhi ’s student outreach programme Chhaatron ki Goonj held in the city recently. Fadnavis also criticised CJP founded by Abhijeet Dipke. “CJP is not some small organisation of the youth. In reality, it stands for Congress Jitao Programme.
