The rescued youths aged 22-25 years were identified as Om Khilari, Parth Kadve and Rushil Vrindavan.

Gajanan Ghadge, Senior Inspector of Panvel Taluka Police Station, said that the rescued youths, aged between 22 and 25 years, were identified as Om Khilari, Parth Kadve and Rushil Vrindavan. They had started their trek at around 8 am. At around 11 am, the police helpline number 112 received a distress call from one of the trekkers, informing officials that they had lost their way while trekking towards Chanderi Fort.
