We have asked the authorities to come out with a fresh review for Jayakwadi and other dams after eight to 10 days,” he said. On much-discussed river linking projects, the minister said that fresh surveys look at bringing 91 TMC additional water into Jayakwadi dam.
Addressing the reporters in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Vikhe Patil said a separate Govt Resolution (GR) detailing out necessary guidelines will soon be issued to this effect. It will bring uniformity and help different district administrations in executing decisions,” he said. The minister also said the Centre and state would join hands to deal with the current drought crisis. “Union agriculture minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan himself is scheduled to visit drought-hit areas of Maharashtra soon to assess the situation,” he said.
