Mother Leaves Home Amid Allegations of Family Exploitation
A girl reported to the police that her mother threatened to harm herself or kill her if she disclosed an incident to her father. The mother left the family home on April 1 this year. The girl recently informed her father about the situation, prompting police involvement.
An official stated that the case raises concerns about potential exploitation within the family. Authorities are currently reviewing the complaint, along with relevant images and videos, to understand the circumstances surrounding the mother’s departure.
According to the complainant, her mother had taken her out under the guise of going to college, where she allegedly instructed the girl to meet an individual and follow his directions. Police sources indicated that the mother left due to ongoing physical and mental abuse from her husband, who has a criminal history. The mother is now residing in Mumbra, near Mumbai, and is reportedly hesitant to return home.
Sources in Imambada police station, where a case was registered against the woman on Tuesday for voyeurism and human trafficking besides other provisions, said that the complainant’s statement has been recorded and an investigation launched to unearth the facts.
