Kerala HC declines to pass interim order — Documentary fest screening nod

Kochi : The high court on Tuesday orally observed that “no matter what tricks are used, the truth will eventually come out and no one can hide it forever” while hearing a petition filed by the Kerala PSC challenging a govt order directing the registration of a case in connection with the alleged exam fraud involving PSC members and officials.

Narrating the story, the court said the couple staged a fake quarrel to avoid serving him food. At the previous hearing, the court had also asked whether the state govt was playing a “bhai-bhai” game in the PSC exam fraud case. Justice A Badharudeen made the oral observation after the state govt informed the court that the investigation was progressing vigorously. The court referred to a popular Malabar folklore about Kunjayi Musliyar, who foiled a couple’s plan to avoid sharing their food with him. After ensuring that Musliyar had left, they praised each other for their performance. However, Musliyar, who had been hiding nearby, emerged and praised himself for staying back despite the couple’s quarrel. The court narrated the story to illustrate the situation in the present case.
