George said Vijayan must clarify the source of about Rs 1.56 crore shown as received over and above the contracted amount and specify what service this corresponded to if the money was for services rendered, as claimed. He sought clarity on the identity of ‘PV’ in Exalogic records and on a reference to a ‘prominent political leader’ in 2016–19 transactions, asking Vijayan to name the individual if it was not him. Referring to the period when Vijayan held the chief minister’s post along with the environment portfolio in 2016, George asked what action the then govt took over pollution complaints against CMRL after a company linked to Veena entered a financial agreement with it.
