Transport minister C P John, who attended the meeting, said the skywalk would be implemented as a key project under Road Safety Mission, a cabinet-approved initiative aimed at prioritising pedestrian safety. The meeting was chaired by speaker Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan and attended by senior officials from the transport department, Kottayam collectorate, public works department, Kerala Road Safety Authority, Kitco and revenue department.
