Kochi : A 41-year-old man who went missing from Aluva on Saturday was found dead in Periyar on Monday.
Fire force officials said that a local spotted the body in the river around 10.30am near Manjaly bridge. Police suspect that it is a suicide, but officials said that a cause and reason for the death can be confirmed only after a detailed investigation. Aluva police said the body was handed over to kin after an autopsy. Police said a detailed investigation will be conducted to identify the exact reason for the death. The deceased was Vishakh of Veliyathunadu. Fire officials from North Paravur fished out the body.
