Kochi: A 61-year-old pedestrian was killed after she was hit by a motorcycle in Rayamangalam

Kochi: A 61-year-old pedestrian was killed after she was hit by a motorcycle in Rayamangalam near Perumbavoor around 5.30pm on Saturday.

The police said that a detailed investigation is on to identify how exactly the accident occurred. FIR says that the car which was heading towards Kothamangalam from Perumbavoor first crashed into a scooter which was ahead of Sanjay’s scooter and then hit his vehicle. Kuruppampadi Police registered an FIR after Kumari’s son gave a statement. The body of the victim was handed over to the kin after an autopsy. As per the FIR, Sanjay of Vengola was injured after a car crashed into his scooter at Cherukunnam. He suffered bruises and cuts in the accident. Download the TOI App.

Kuruppampady Police also registered another FIR on Sunday in connection with an accident that occurred on Thursday.

Kumari, daughter of Kurumban of Rayamangalam, is the deceased. She was crossing the MC Road at Thayakarachira when she was hit by the motorcycle which was heading towards Perumbavoor. Passersby rushed her to a hospital but her life could not be saved.
