Warrier’s lawyer Santhi Mayadevi said that the case was filed before Ernakulam munsiff court-4. She said that Warrier gave confidential statements before the magistrate against Sasidharan in 2022 and 2025 for stalking and defamation. The case has been posted to Sept 30.
She said that Sasidharan was frequently defaming Warrier and issuing false news against her. Mayadevi said that media that share such fake information online have been added as respondents. She said that they had also sought removal of the posts already made on social media in this regard. She said that they would proceed with criminal and civil proceedings against the director.
Kochi : Actor Manju Warrier has filed an injunction suit before a munsiff court in Ernakulam against director Sanal Kumar Sasidharan for repeatedly defaming her. The court has issued a temporary order barring him from making any such further statements. Both cases are pending before court. The lawyer added that it is not fair for media to ask Warrier to explain herself whenever someone makes an allegation.
