FACT township school
The school was established in 1960. In 2004, the school was leased to a private management. In 2015, employees formed FACT Employees Educational and Service Society, which took over the administration and leased the school building from the company.
A former teacher at the school said repeated eviction notices issued by the company over disputes regarding an increase in the lease amount, followed by a decline in student enrolment, eventually led to the closure of the school. Over the past decades, the institution had excelled in academics as well as sports and arts.
Kochi : The building of the now defunct FACT Township High School in Eloor will soon be converted into a National Investigation Agency (NIA) court. The school, operated by FACT Employees Educational and Service Society, stopped functioning two years ago after it failed to generate sufficient revenue to meet the lease amount payable to the fertiliser manufacturing company.
