The case pertains to the alleged fraudulent registration of mutt land, valued at around Rs100 crore, through fabricated records. Following a complaint lodged by Muruganandam , superintendent of Palani temple lands division, Palani Adivaram police had initially registered a case. Subsequently, the case was transferred to Dindigul district CB-CID. CB-CID officials arrested several people, including D Murugadass of Villupuram who sold the land, K Vellathurai of Tirupur, D Sethupathi who purchased the land, and sub-registrar Justin Manikandan.
Principal district judge V Padnabhan granted custody of Jeyaprakash to CB-CID officials for interrogation till 1pm on Sept 24. Madurai: Dindigul CB-CID officials have taken custody of Jeyaprakash, an accused in the case pertaining to fraudulent registration of land belonging to Arulmigu Dhandapani Swamigal Madam in Palani in Dindigul district, for interrogation. Thereafter, he was taken to CB-CID office for questioning.
CB-CID officials filed an application before the principal district court in Dindigul seeking custody of Jeyaprakash.
