Rukmini allegedly killed Ramaswamy by hitting him on the head with a hammer
Palakkad: Police have arrested a 26-year-old woman in connection with the murder of a fellow 53-year-old tribal worker at Kadappara near Mangalam Dam in Palakkad.
Police said Rukmini herself informed nearby plantation workers about the incident in the morning. She allegedly confessed to the crime during questioning, police said. The deceased is Ramaswamy of Kunchiyarpathy, Mangalam Dam. The arrested woman, Rukmini, a native of Olippara, was staying with him. Police reached the spot and took her into custody. Ramaswamy and Rukmini had been married to other persons. They had been living together for around a year and working at the Pothanthodu estate for the past three months.
Rukmini allegedly killed Ramaswamy by hitting him on the head with a hammer following an argument while the two were drinking together on Tuesday night, according to Mangalam Dam police. Ramaswamy’s body was found at a private plantation at Pothanthodu, Kadappara, on Wednesday.
