Kollam Sudhi
Sudhi was killed on June 5, 2023, at Kaipamangalam in Thrissur, when the car he was travelling in collided with an oncoming pickup van while returning from a programme at Vadakara in Kozhikode. Television artists Binu Adimali, Ullas Aroor and Mahesh, who were in the car, were injured. Sudhi was shifted to A R Hospital, Kodungallur, where he died.
Kottayam : Principal motor accident claims tribunal (MACT) here has awarded Rs 1.77 crore in compensation to the family of actor Kollam Sudhi, who died in a road accident in 2023. This includes Rs 1.41 crore as compensation, along with interest and court costs. Sudhi began his career in television and made his film debut in Kanthari (2015).

The tribunal said it fixed the sum after considering the financial loss to the family and the rights of the dependants. The amount will go to Sudhi’s mother Gomathi, wife Reshma Thankachan (Renu Sudhi) and the actor’s two sons. Advocates A R Kalesh Kumar and K S Harshana appeared for the family. His other films include Kattappanayile Hrithik Roshan, Kuttanadan Marpappa, Theetta Rappayi, Vakathirivu, An International Local Story, Keshu Ee Veedinte Nadhan, Escape and Swargathile Katturumbu. The order, passed on Wednesday by judge Prasun Mohan, directs the vehicle’s insurer, New India Assurance Company, to deposit the amount in court.
