*ASSAULTED IIT PALAKKAD STUDENT IN ICU AFTER SURGERY IN COIMBATORE *- A female student who was assaulted on the campus of IIT Palakkad in Kerala underwent surgery and was in the ICU of a private hospital in Coimbatore, police said. The hospital was not yet able to identify or contact the student’s parents, according to Coimbatore police. Police said details regarding the person who admitted the injured student were also unclear.
