MLC polls: Revanth asks cadre to step up voter registration
In the Mahabubnagar-Rangareddy-Hyderabad Graduate MLC constituency, only 36% of potential voters have been registered so far, while the remaining 64% are yet to complete the registration process. Describing them as young leaders who could serve the party for the next 30 years, Revanth said the leadership expressed confidence in their ability to represent the party. Citing the party’s performance in previous elections, he said Congress-backed candidates had won 66% of sarpanch posts, while the party had secured 85% of seats in municipal elections contested on its symbol.
Emphasising the importance of Graduate MLC elections, the leadership said the contest was not merely about individual candidates but also about the party’s image and strength. He urged party leaders and workers to remain vigilant and intensify efforts to ensure the party’s victory in the upcoming Graduate MLC elections, stressing the need to register every eligible voter. He directed party leaders to reach out to eligible graduates and ensure that they register to vote. Revanth made it clear that the party’s decision on candidate selection was final and urged all leaders and workers to work together to ensure the victory of its nominees, Sama Rammohan Reddy and Ramreddy Sarvotham Reddy. He attributed these victories to the dedicated efforts of party workers and leaders. He also called for responsibilities to be assigned to leaders from districts where no elections were currently taking place to strengthen the campaign and maximise voter registration.
Hyderabad : Chief minister A Revanth Reddy on Friday alleged that BRS and BJP were colluding behind the scenes to undermine the Congress , and called for unity and coordinated efforts among Congress leaders and workers to counter their political strategy.
