Prayagraj : Marking 100 years of service, Military Hospital Prayagraj organised a blood donation camp as part of the centenary celebrations of the Military Nursing Service (MNS), highlighting the contribution of nursing personnel to healthcare and the importance of voluntary blood donation. Healthcare personnel and voluntary donors participated in the initiative, coming together to support patients requiring timely medical care. The event paid tribute to generations of MNS personnel who dedicated themselves to the care and well-being of serving military personnel and their families. The centenary celebrations also highlighted the role of nursing officers in upholding professional excellence, compassion and selfless service in the armed forces’ healthcare system. Voluntary blood donation was the central focus of the programme, with the initiative underscoring how individual contributions can help save lives and support patients in need of blood during medical emergencies, surgeries and other treatments. The camp also reaffirmed the MNS motto, ‘Service with a Smile’, which reflects the spirit of compassion, commitment and dedication associated with the service. Over the past century, the Military Nursing Service has upheld the values of ‘Seva, Samarpan and Sahayata’ (service, dedication and assistance).
