Accused model changing hideouts in Nepal, say cops — Bizman death

The emergence of CCTV footage has added a fresh dimension to the case

Lucknow: The probe into the death of 28-year-old restaurateur Shiva Sharma , who fell from the fourth floor of an apartment in Hazratganj on October 9, has now extended across the India-Nepal border. Police suspect prime accused Shraddha Dubey, a social media influencer, along with her sister Rashmi , associate Adil , and driver Tanveer Ali alias Danish, are hiding in Nepal and frequently shifting locations to evade arrest.

Police have announced a Rs 25,000 reward each on Shraddha, Rashmi and Tanveer Ali alias Danish.

The accused crossed into Nepal through the Rupaidiha border in Bahraich shortly after the incident and moved through several districts, including Mahendranagar, Banke and Surkhet, according to sources. Sources said a vehicle recovered during that probe was allegedly registered in Shraddha’s name. Police believe a local hotel operator has been helping them secure accommodation and change hideouts. Lucknow Police are coordinating with Nepal Police and monitoring people close to the accused to trace their whereabouts. Following a complaint lodged by his mother, Ranjana Sharma, Hazratganj police registered a murder case against Shraddha, Rashmi, Adil, Tanveer and others named in the FIR. Police are also examining a possible link between Shraddha and a cyber fraud case being investigated by Saharanpur Cyber Crime Police.

Since then, multiple teams have been searching for the accused, who are believed to have fled Uttar Pradesh soon after the incident.
