When asked why one of the accused, Vishal , named Shalu after the encounter, Dheeraj said police would have to determine the reason, adding that his sister was also surprised by the allegation. He claimed that Subrat had given Vishal’s phone number to Shalu so she could contact him for minor household work, and that she knew him only as a staff member.
