Meanwhile, Bijnor police conducted an inspection of another mosque following allegations that it was constructed over a public well. However, police officials reported that their investigation found no evidence of a well at the site.

Kotwali Dehat SHO Sunil Sahrawat, said, “A police team visited the site and conducted a physical inspection, but no well was found…police have submitted the report to senior officers and any technical verification would fall under the revenue department.” Moradabad Development Authority sought building approvals from Mustafa Masjid in Pakbara, Moradabad, and Bijnor police examined a complaint that another mosque had been constructed over a public well. They sought removal of the structures and clearance of the alleged encroachment, following which the SP referred the matter to Kotwali Dehat police for inquiry.
Family Defends Mosque’s Legality Amid Allegations
The family of Fareed Jabbar, believed to be the builder of a mosque, has refuted claims regarding the legality of the structure. They assert that the mosque is more than 40 years old and is situated on their own 300-square-yard property. A family member stated, “It is entirely legal. We are arranging the documents and will provide the details to the authorities.”
