Body found near Kanpur Jhansi railway track
Decomposed body of man missing for about 10 days found in bushes near railway line Kanpur: The decomposed body of a 41-year-old man missing for about 10 days was found in bushes near the Jhansi railway line in Govind Nagar police station area on Sunday. Shiv Narayan’s brother Arvind told police that he had last spoken to him by phone on Sept 30.
Shiv Narayan had said that he would work at a factory in Jhansi instead of Kanpur, and could not be contacted afterwards. Police identified the deceased as Shiv Narayan, a resident of Manna Nagar, Jajamau, under Fatehpur Chaurasi police station area in Unnao, from an Aadhaar card recovered during a search. Police informed his family, called a forensic team to inspect the spot and sent the body for post-mortem examination. His family had been searching for him without success.
Govind Nagar inspector Ashok Kumar Dubey said the post-mortem report is awaited to determine the cause of death. Further action will be taken on the basis of the report and the family’s complaint, he said.
