GHAZIABAD: CCTV footage has emerged showing the sequence of events in which a woman and her gym trainer allegedly plotted an attack on her husband, who was stabbed while sleeping beside their young daughter in Ghaziabad on Monday. Investigators suspect she followed the same routine on Monday, allowing Singh to enter the house. Both accused were arrested on Tuesday, produced before a court and remanded to judicial custody.
Investigators suspect that tensions escalated after Shashank decided to move out of their home and began looking for a house in Delhi. He reportedly intended to finalise a property on Sunday, while Priya allegedly opposed the move.
Singh began working at the gym Priya attended in Vasundhara in January this year, according to ACP (Indirapuram) Suryabali Maurya. The two allegedly entered into a relationship the following month.
Shashank, a senior accountant with the Delhi government, was rushed to a nearby hospital after the attack. He remains in the intensive care unit (ICU). His daughter, who woke up during the assault and began crying, escaped without injuries.
