Gorakhpur : During janata darshan in Gorakhpur on Wednesday, chief minister Yogi Adityanath heard grievances of around 150 people from different districts and assured them of prompt resolution. Several people sought financial assistance for treatment of serious illnesses and chief minister directed officials to prepare medical estimates for eligible patients at the earliest, assuring that funds from the chief minister’s discretionary relief fund would be released once estimates were submitted. Chief minister said govt was committed to ensuring justice and resolving every genuine grievance and directed officials to act with urgency and sensitivity, ensuring all complainants receive fair treatment without discrimination. He also instructed authorities to ensure that eligible beneficiaries receive benefits of welfare schemes, needy patients get proper medical assistance and strict action is taken against land mafia and encroachers. Referring applications received during the programme to the departments concerned, Yogi ordered swift and satisfactory disposal of complaints, particularly those related to revenue and law-and-order issues. He reiterated that govt stood firmly with every aggrieved citizen. In the morning, Yogi offered prayers at Gorakhnath Temple and paid tributes at the samadhi of his guru, late Mahant Avaidyanath, on his 12th death anniversary. Following temple traditions, he also visited the gaushala, where he fed jaggery to cows. Several saints from different parts of the country accompanied him during the visit. Download the TOI App.
