Lucknow: At a meeting of the state apex committee chaired by chief secretary SP Goyal, constituted for the implementation of the integrated criminal justice system (ICJS) 2.0 project, discussions were held on various components of the project, including technical requirements, the state’s progress on the dashboard, available resources, procurement of the remaining equipment and the upcoming action plan. Calling the ICJS 2.0 project as necessary for making the criminal justice system more robust, coordinated, transparent and technology-driven, the CS directed concerned officials to ensure the availability of resources necessary for the implementation of the project. The CS reviewed the state’s scorecard on the ICJS 2.0 dashboard and said that data should be monitored regularly to ensure that UP’s performance improves.

“The core principle of ICJS is ‘One Data, One Entry’, the objective of which is to eliminate the need to repeatedly enter the same information into different systems and instead ensure that information entered at one point is automatically shared with all related pillars,” the CS explained.
